Helsinki Music Centre
On the opening concert on Nov 7th, NMD proudly cooperates with The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and its autumn '18 season. Musiikkitalo is a concert venue and meeting place open to all. In addition to the 1,704-seat Concert Hall there are also 5 smaller halls in the Musiikkitalo - Black Box, Camerata, Organo, Sonore, and the Rehearsal Hall Paavo.
Kiasma
Kiasma is a contemporary art museum that facilitates NMD's programme of sound installations, divided to one curated composer per day. The listening opportunity lasts throughout Kiasma's opening hours and is free of charge. Kiasma is part of the Finnish National Gallery.
G Livelab
The hot live music venue that has treated Helsinki audiences to fabulous performances for some two years now, features three late night gigs on NMD. With a background from The Finnish Musicians’ Union, G Livelab is a new chance to experience live music in a context which enables the performance to succeed beyond expectations.
Amos Rex
Another space that is a hot topic in current discussions is the Amos Rex art museum, which opened just this August. Its legendary Bio Rex hosts NMD's Thursday evening.
Temppeliaukio church
Because of its special architecture, the church, completed in 1969, is one of the main attractions in Helsinki. The church hall is covered with a dome, lined with copper and supported on the rock walls by reinforced concrete beams. This well-established concert venue hosts NMD's Friday evening.
Tiivistämö
Tiivistämö, or the former gasometer room, is one of the original buildings in the Suvilahti area. Ready gas was measured there before storage and consumption. The adventurous venue hosts NMD's Saturday (& final) evening.
